Mission Outreach Efforts

FUMC Lockhart reaches out to the local community and beyond with our prayers, our visits, our labor, our gifts, and our service.

Meals On Wheels

Our church is responsible for delivering Meals on Wheels during the months of September and December. Anyone wishing to volunteer as a driver can contact our church office at 512-398-3232.

The Lockhart Meals On Wheels coordinator is Alma, She may be reached at 512-376-0908. If you need further info about this ministry, she is the coordinator for our community.

CCCM Food Pantry

The FUMC "Glad Baggers" bag groceries for clients of the Food Pantry. This is a hands-on, assembly-line type project and is lots of fun!

We can always use more helping hands for this activity on the Third Monday of each month. We begin about 8:30 am with twenty or so helpers from our church. Join us as we reach out to our local community.

Caldwell County Christian Ministries is located at 901 Bois D' Arc St. in Lockhart, on the backside of the old Hospital. Phone number 512-376-6661

Emergency Life Fund

Our church is a point of contact for many in the community looking for help with groceries, gasoline, medical bills, etc.  In addition to HEB gift cards, we also provide a personal hygiene bag.  Please contact the church office to volunteer to help keep a supply of these bags available for our neighbors.

Warmth for Those in Need

The UMW Hooks and Needles Group knits and crochets hats, scarves, lapghans and shawls which are distributed to cancer patients, the homeless, foster children, and residents at the nursing home. Please contact the church office for more information.

Diaper Drive

FUMC is collecting diapers and disposable underwear for the CCCM Food Pantry.   Many of the Food Pantry clients have small children, or elderly parents.  Diapers and disposable underwear of any size are needed.

Golden Age Home

Our church has been supporting this Assisted Living Facility for many years. Please contact the church office for more information.

Angel Tree

Each year, Karla Field provides an Angel Tree for the members of our church to purchase Christmas gifts for children whose parents are incarcerated in a local prison.

Disaster Relief

United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is the humanitarian relief and development arm of The United Methodist Church, which assists churches to become involved globally in direct ministry to persons in need.

We respond to U.S. and international disasters, address diseases of poverty, minister to refugees and immigrants, provide clean water and actively work to reduce hunger through UMCOR requests, called "advances".

If you or your community group would like to participate in a UMCOR Advance, you may learn more at the UMCOR Website, and leave your donation in care of FUMC Lockhart. Our office will ensure your collection or donation is routed to its intended destination.
