Sunday School Bible Study Classes

Each Sunday, 9:30-10:25 am in the Education Building (Nursery Available for children 0-3 years)

Christians Under Construction Adults of various ages come together each week to study the Bible in this class for which the instructor rotates.  It is held in room 13 of the Education Building.

Wesley Sunday School Class We are a unique mixture of ages and stages, 60 years and up, couples and singles, working and retired.  Our lessons come from an Adult Bible Studies series and are teacher-led.  We enjoy lots of laughter and lively thought-provoking discussions.  We are a small class and we always welcome newcomers.  If you want to form deep and lasting friendships and receive comfort and care when needed, come and be a part of our Wesley family.  Our door is always open. We meet in Room 9 of the Education Building.

Ladies Circle Women of various ages meet on the first Sunday of each month in the Education Building Library and work on a card-making craft for outreach ministry efforts. On the remaining Sundays of the month, our members are a part of the Christians Under Construction class.

Homeschool Teachers' Lounge

Fridays 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, Education Building. Nursery care with advance reservation (for babies 0-3)

Parents who are homeschooling their children need a space to experience the peace and grace of God in fellowship with other adults--and without children present. In this outreach ministry, we share a brief devotional, and then have a water-color class to illustrate the Holy Scripture on small, refrigerator-friendly canvases. We have additional space for those who need quieter time to lesson-plan and fellowship with seasoned teachers from diverse backgrounds, including veteran homeschool teachers, librarians, public and private school teachers. And yet a third space to simply sit and be quiet in restful meditation. This is a brand new ministry at FUMC Lockhart, and we welcome your feedback!
